Women are playing an increasingly important role in solving the problems facing society and the state and in the modern world they should not have to choose between family and personal development, the president said. The Eurasian Women’s Forum, organized since 2015, is one of the largest international platforms bringing together women leaders from all continents to examine and discuss the role of women in the modern world and to develop new approaches to solving global problems.

The forum was organized by the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS). This forum has been widely recognized as an effective mechanism for interaction and dialogue for women who influence social, political and economic decisions. It facilitates the growing participation of women’s movements in solving global challenges.

The chosen theme of the third forum “Women: a global mission in a new reality” has a lot of meaning for the world today. Stimulating international cooperation to strengthen the role of women in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, shaping a women’s agenda and new approaches to solving global problems in the new reality – these are the main objectives of the participants and the organizers.

Participants in fact devoted key debates to the role of women in ensuring global security, the transition to new models of economic growth and social progress, overcoming the adverse consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, developing health care, balancing universal digitization and fight against the global environment. and climate issues.

For the first time, the forum features a meeting of the International Working Group of the Nuclear Energy Agency of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development on Improving Gender Balance in the Manufacturing Industry. nuclear energy.

The expert sessions occupied a preponderant place for international organizations and associations. These include the Women 20 field sessions, the United Nations Industrial Development (UNIDO) session, the World Bank session, the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance meeting, the international club of laureates and participants of the APEC BEST AWARD and the International Club of Regional Women Leaders.

All over the world, there is a growing demand for female leadership. Research has shown that companies with women on their boards perform better. As new skill requirements emerge, educational programs for women leaders become essential. The ability to share the experience at the international level of the implementation of such programs helps to foster joint initiatives. This shows a turning point for women in the political sphere.

In the face of global challenges, there is a growing need for a new paradigm, as well as renewed attention to changing attitudes towards women. Women have made a huge contribution to efforts to improve health, increase life expectancy and improve quality of life. It is the first role of women in the family, and it is an endless fact in the world.

Previously there had been some innovations. The BRICS Women’s Business Alliance was first presented at the 2nd Eurasian Women’s Forum. The leaders of Brazil, India, China, Russia and South Africa unanimously supported the initiative and adopted the declaration on the establishment of the alliance. Last year (2020) saw the official launch of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance.

The alliance seeks to implement multilateral cooperation projects aimed at consolidating and strengthening its role in the global economic agenda. The alliance’s areas of intervention include the development of innovation, healthcare, food and environmental security, an inclusive economy, creative industries and tourism.

Women formed alliances and prior to this forum, for example, the Women’s Business Association of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FLO FICCI), considered the largest association of women entrepreneurs in India, signed a memorandum of understanding. agreement with Russia. This collaboration aims to develop female entrepreneurship, social communication and create favorable conditions for cooperation between business circles in Russia and India.

It plans to promote entrepreneurship and professional excellence through seminars, conferences, conferences, trainings and other events aimed at encouraging and stimulating the involvement of skills, experience and energy of women in all sectors and at all levels of economic activity.

The Eurasian Women’s Association has so many programs and projects with other women’s groups and associations in the Eurasian region, Asia, Africa and Europe. Obviously, women have come a long way across the world, since their first conference was held in 1986 in Beijing, China and hence declared on March 8 – as International Women’s Day marks every year around the world. . Women have entered the fight, sometimes collaborating with women-minded men and thus paving the way to the upper echelons in all economic and social spheres. Women now have a structured organization from the grassroots, in all countries, to regional organizations and the United Nations.

The President of the Federation Council, Valentina Matviyenko, in her opening speech of the plenary session, strongly underlined that the main objectives of the global women’s community such as improving the quality of life of people as well as strengthen mutual understanding and trust between countries and peoples in the name of peace and sustainable development.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Viktoria Abramchenko also noted in her speech that women are directly involved in the implementation of a wide range of development tasks in Russia and beyond on international platforms.

Vietnamese Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan made a presentation by video conference. She said the forum brings together the majority of women from all over the world. “The role of women today is extremely important. We can make the world a fairer place and help tackle global challenges, ”she said.

President of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Ali gizi Gafarova, believes that the topics discussed at the Eurasian Women’s Forum provide an opportunity to address the most pressing issues of modern life and improve the status of women in the world. Gafarova unreservedly declared that unleashing the full potential of women would be the foundation for building a healthy society.

Uzbekistan Senate President Tanzila Narbaeva noted that the forum once again demonstrated the growing role of women in solving socio-economic issues facing their countries, and demonstrates new approaches to the agenda. women.

Narbaeva stressed that Uzbekistan, for example, is ready to share its experience in various fields and is open to multifaceted cooperation. She invited the participants to take part in the women’s forum during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in 2022, scheduled for Samarkand, the second largest city in Uzbekistan.

The Speaker of the Lower House of the Parliament of Turkmenistan, Gulshat Mammedova, said that the forum is an important platform for interaction between women and helps to harmonize efforts to deal with various issues of our time as well as to exchange perspectives and experiences in promoting women’s rights.

The participation of African women was modest, with for example the President of the Senate of Gabon Lucie Milebou Aubusson, the Liberian Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor and the First Lady of Zimbabwe Auxillia Mnangagwa among a few others. Mozambique Assembly President Esperança Laurinda Francisco Nhiuane Bias delivered a speech at the forum.

The First Lady of Zimbabwe, Auxillia Mnangagwa, held a special working discussion on the sidelines with the President of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matviyenko, focused on the development of interparliamentary relations, women in sustainable development, education and charity.

The First Lady and the President raised the possibility of greater participation of Russian economic operators in the development process of the southern African region. The two women expressed their appreciation for cooperating on various issues on international platforms. Diplomatic relations between the two marked their 40th year.

On October 15, the participating African women took part in an exclusive discussion only on “the role of women in the integrated development of the African continent” at the Tauride Palace. Women from international organizations, business circles, the scientific and academic community and non-governmental organizations participated.

The whole third forum, organized primarily to examine the performance of women in a male-dominated world, identify challenges and obstacles on the road to gender equality and strive for higher social status and of course , define new strategic objectives for the future. It took place offline using modern formats such as video conferencing and online streaming, intended to ensure wide reach and engage audiences.
